Our social welfare programme helps local communities through donations of food staples, cleaning products, toys, shoes, school lunches and clothing. Practices introduced at the resort cover energy efficiency and conservation; waste water treatment and reuse; environment-friendly product use; fresh water conservation; waste minimisation and recycling.
We also grow many organic fruits, vegetables, herbs and flowers, and buy locally produced products wherever possible to help boost the home economy and reduce carbon emissions from long-distance transportation.
In addition, Chiva-Som has a community development organisation, the Preserve Hua Hin Group, which collaborates with the municipality, local businesses, hoteliers and townspeople to organise and sponsor events such as outdoor concerts, marathons, and reforestation projects to foster social welfare and community improvement.
