Drops Of Danger
Drops of Danger
"Acid rain is a broad term for referring to a mixture of wet and dry deposition (deposited material) from the atmosphere containing higher than normal amounts of nitric and sulfuric acids ( Acid Rain, http://www.epa.gov/acidrain/what/index.html). Acid rain can cause heart disorders, lung cancer, asthma, bronchitis, and death. Many people are unaware of where acid rain actually accumulates. It can be in rain, acidic lakes, and even swimming pools. Many people are unaware of these common dangers in their everyday life.
As stated in Mind Real, "Our mind is filtered strands of reality woven together by a multitude of little automatic workers to a tapestry illusion."(Mind Real p.14) So instead of actually experiencing the full force of reality we experience mind limited which makes up a notion of what is real, known as mind real (Mind Real p.14-15). Since our mind can only perceive a certain amount of information this is how acid rain is unperceivable to us. We can't comprehend on a conscious level what acid rain is exactly.
Our mind and body can not recognize or accumulate the toxic chemical Dihydrogen Monoxide that is found in acid rain. This chemical is found in nuclear power plants, pesticides, production of Styrofoam, and a major ingredient of homemade bombs (How Dihydrogen Monoxide (DHMO) is Affecting Your Health, mercola.com). This harmful chemical can cause burning of the skin, severe tissue damage, as well as effect our environment with soil erosion. However, our body is not aware of all these potential threats. Since we cannot actually physically see acid rain, we as humans are mentally unaware that it is actually there. This certainly questions what else you may not see that is right in front you.
